Mudra for the Second Chakra

Writing today in orange, the color that correlates with the sacral chakra, chakra two. We have been discussing Mudras and the Chakras and started with the Mudra for the First Chakra, today we move on to the mudra for our sacral chakra.

This mudra is also known to be practiced at any time and within any posture of your preference.  It is geared towards our sacral chakra, our relationship center, the center for sex and reproduction but, also home to our creative energy.  This mudra for our second chakra is believed to aid in the balance of the water within the body, thus preventing disease caused by lack of water and keeping clarity within our blood.

Practicing with your arms/hands set to receive.  It can be paired with its bija, Vam.  Saying out loud or within the quiet of your mind.  Focusing on the bija for this chakra and what correlates directly to this chakra can aid in getting your body and mind right on track.

The Sacral Chakra – Chakra Two is a good reference to go back on if you are trying to focus on the balancing of this particular chakra and what correlates directly to it, pairing with your mudra throughout your practice.

You can practice all the mudras during one practice, moving from the first through to the last or individually.  Feeling particularly blocked in your relationship center or perhaps your creativity is lacking, focusing on the balancing of your second chakra, and all your chakras can assist!

Please post any questions or thoughts below.  If you tried it out, I would love to hear how you felt afterwards!  If the picture is unclear to you on how to position your hand in this mudra, please let me know.

Namaste 🙂
